Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance and Billing teams to manage financial requirements and provider payments.
• Coordinate and review accounting and financial reporting for the Japan GSBL sub-location.
• Initiate timely payments and ensure accurate booking.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
• Resolve queries and billing concerns from providers promptly.
• Identify process trends and escalate gaps as necessary.
• Assist with projects and ad-hoc tasks as needed.
• Attend training, coaching, and meetings as required.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Fluent in Japanese and English.
• Solid knowledge of Accounting Standards.
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining confidentiality and accountability.
• Experience with accounting and billing responsibilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with Oracle or similar ERP is a plus.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• General knowledge of world geography.

Required Experience

• Understanding of working within an accounting department or professional services environment.
• Experience within a luxury brand or similar organization is advantageous.

Required Qualifications

• Accounting degree preferred with 1-3 years of experience in a similar position.

Required Languages

• Fluent in written and spoken Japanese and English.
• Fluency in additional languages is an advantage.
