Purchasing and T&S Manager


Supply & Sourcing Performance, continuous improvement

  • Define department A3 on basis of continuous improvement and ensure the implementation of the target conditions.
  • Manage all local and assigned global procurement activities by objectives (A3) within established policies/guidelines to meet and exceed department KPI’s:  Secure best total value by leverage at the lowest/optimum costs, reliable sources, and highest DPO.
  • Risk Management: identify and assess risk areas and discuss those with the Operations Manager in order to control potential threats and actions that are defined to create a safe working environment.
  • Ensure governance compliance by managing the local, regional and global activities taking the necessary actions for the proper conduct of local (regional and global) affairs

Transportation & Shipping Performance and Excellence

  • Define department A3 on basis of continuous improvement and ensure the implementation of the target conditions.
  • Manage all local as well as potential regional and global T&S activities by objectives within established policies/guidelines to meet and exceed department KPI’s:  customer satisfaction, shipping, and delivery performance, EHS, and realization of revenue at the lowest possible costs

Cost Control/Budget

  • Take all necessary actions according to the prescribed quality and performance standards to manage local purchasing costs and budget and to monitor related costs, aiming at the most cost-efficient supply chain.
  • Manage department budget and recommend capital expenditures to increase efficiency and services of transportation operations.
  • Take all necessary actions according to the prescribed quality and performance standards to monitor related costs, aiming at the most cost-efficient supply chain.

Leadership

  • Conduct/support open and effective communication and create an environment of sharing best practices, which is the Almatis style of Management, to create an optimal work environment.
  • Deploy relevant decisions, of the local Management Team to all levels of his/her organization.
  • Lead/support and coach his/her people, establish and maintain teamwork with highly motivated people, resulting in an effective and efficient performing production.

Vendor & Storeroom Management

  • Develop and manage strong and strategic vendor relationships for reliable, stable, and controlled service and goods quality.
  • Manage spare parts storeroom for reliable and efficient service to operations. Optimize spare parts inventory.
