Job Description
Manager, People Services (HR Generalist)
Location: Kawasaki, Kanagawa
Salary: ¥15,000,000
As a Manager, People Services (HR Generalist), you will handle both HR operational work and deliver HR services and solutions to managers and employees active in Japan, along with other people-related activities and initiatives.
This role demands strong execution of assignments and deliverables, with a proactive approach in a dynamic and demanding business environment. The focus is on providing HR operational services.
You will also contribute to projects aimed at improving our global and local HR processes and systems. Reporting to the Japan People Head, you will participate in various People initiatives and activities.
Context of the Position
The HR Organization is responsible for all HR & Operations activities, including attracting and Selecting, Identifying and Developing, Engaging and Rewarding, and Enabling and Improving (processes, tooling/system, and HR Analytics).
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day HR tasks including onboarding, compensation and benefits, payroll preparation, and local training.
- Create and maintain oversight of specific cases, activities, and workflows.
- Monitor and address manager and employee queries, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Support and implement HR initiatives in Japan and globally.
- Address questions from managers and employees professionally and use feedback to make process improvements.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources or a relevant discipline preferred).
Experience
- Experience in HR Operations, including payroll administration and HRIS tools.
- Knowledge and experience with Japanese labor law and social insurance.
- Experience specifically in payroll and benefit program operations.
