Job Description
Project Manager
As a Project Manager, you will oversee and complete multiple audiovisual (AV) and video conferencing projects, ensuring they align with company goals and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main contact for all project communications.
- Manage all project phases, including design, engineering, installation, programming, and testing.
- Lead project kick-off meetings with client representatives.
- Create and manage project schedules and budgets for AV installations.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other trades as needed.
- Provide regular updates on project progress to stakeholders.
- Handle the procurement of materials after document approval.
- Oversee and monitor labor efforts throughout the project, including engineering and installation.
- Request quotes from subcontractors as necessary.
- Manage changes to project scope proactively.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of installation work by staff or subcontractors.
- Test and certify the performance of installed systems.
- Provide training to clients and manage the project handover to the service department.
Requirements:
- Experience in project management or technical engineering (AV/IT).
- Fluent in English and native-level Japanese.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when needed.
Preferred Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in the AV industry.
- Knowledge of Crestron systems, DSPs (Biamp, Clearone, etc.), and networking.
- Understanding of AutoCAD, general contractor procedures, and AV cable terminations.
- Experience with testing and commissioning video conferencing systems.
- Certifications like CTS, CTS-I, or PMP are a plus.
