Overall Role Purpose
Senior finance professional to coordinate, review and lead the month end closing procedure of three legal entities in Japan.
Ensure a timely and accurate processing of journal entries.
Oversight of fixed assets and lease accounting.
Preparation of evidences for internal control system
Smooth payment processing.
Support for PTP, RTR, OTC and MDM.
Support internal and external audit.
Support tax filing.
Active involvement in local, regional and global projects e.g. RPA roll out, automated billing, accounting system move to cloud, etc.
・Review and approve journal entries
・Review and approve supplier and employee payments
・Supervise month end closing tasks e.g. close of system, data upload a.o.
・Month end cost allocation and adjustment journals
・Perform balance sheet reconciliations
・Review and approve lease entries according to IFRS16
・Review and approve fixed assets additions, transfer, disposal
・Oversight of fixed assets physical count
・Review / prepare accruals
・Support preparation of tax filing
・Support finance system management
・Oversight of subsidiary/sister company accounting / month end close
・Support the preparation of internal control evidences
・Implement corrective actions for deficient controls
・Balance sheet review and corrections of wrong bookings
・Accounting system upgrade to cloud version
・RPA implementation and maintenance
・Support the communication with banks, auditors, authorities
・Communicate with suppliers and customers when needed
・Helpdesk for accounting related issues e.g. payments, expense claims, fixed assets, leases, a.o.
・Support trainings to operations incl. preparation of training material/manuals
・Frequent communication with regional teams

■Expected Educational Qualifications
