About Our Team Global Business Solutions (GBS) is where we provide solutions to businesses through our advertisement products such as TikTok for Business. By connecting businesses to our platform's audiences who are looking for the next interest, we provide full-funnel solutions. About the Role This role ensures that ByteDance Japan's GBS Leader as well as Sales Leadership team are operating at their peak by building Investment Process, Strategic Partnership Approach and aligning with keystake holders internally and externally. This role will work closely with General Manager of GBS in Japan, commercial teams, functional leaders of Japan organization and relevant stakeholders at HQ. Job Description The Head of Trading & Commercial- Japan will be responsible for the following (but not limited to): - Strategically build up the investment partnership framework, go to market approach for media agencies, media groups, direct clients etc. - Create and manage commercial agreements involving JBPs, Trading Agreements, Volume Deals, Strategic Partnerships, Barters with Media Agencies, Direct Clients, Strategic Partners. - Maximize value generation for both the clients and the business. You will act as a trusted partner to clients who need advice with complex business decisions, offering realistic and inspiring routes to success and aligning our approach with all of TikTok markets in Japan. - Conduct periodic reviews with partners to ensure deal attainment. - Represent the team when issues arise that require a face-to-face meeting. - Analyse and evolve trading relationships and expand the portfolio of media partners. - Liase with HQ and cross region for any potential global agreements which will need to be disseminated in Japan. - Drive collaboration across all business divisions at all time. - Work closely with Sales Operations and Planning teams to develop systems to ensure Japan deal attainment and forecasting to create enhanced efficiencies. - Annual strategic commercial planning for Japan team.

Qualifications

Requirements Must-have's: - Experience in handling AVBs, Trading, JBPs, quarterly business reviews, course corrections etc. - In-depth knowledge of the media ecosystem, media channels and industry systems and tools. - Good problem-solver, creative thinker - Have strong analytical skills with commercial / business acumen. - High-level of energy that helps cultivate a positive social and high performing culture. - Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail with an emphasis on financial acumen to manage revenue tracking and forecasting of all agreements. - Ability to lead quality control of work and documents leaving the business and ensure strict business rules and compliance in line with the business and industry. - Willingness to keep up with media trends that are most relevant for different customer portfolios. - Strong understanding of advertisement agencies and the advertisement industry in Japan - Native-level Japanese and High-business English skillset Need to have's: - Experience in trading TV and digital ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
