We are looking for an Outreach & Partnerships Manager to ensure that our policy development, community guidelines, and policy enforcement are informed by external experts and advisors with a deep understanding of issue areas that are prevalent on the platform. As an Outreach & Partnerships Manager, you are a primary contact between Global Trust & Safety and external stakeholders to gather feedback and test ideas that will enhance our policies and products. In this role, you will work closely with the entire T&S Product Policy and Product & Process teams, as well as cross-functional partners in Public Policy, Communications, Creator, Legal, and Operations to ensure that TikTok cultivates policies that promote creativity and joy while keeping our community safe. You have an insatiable appetite for protecting users and significant experience facilitating productive dialogue with internal teams and the communities they seek to serve. You will serve as an external ambassador for TikTok and will be proficient in constituent outreach, building partnerships, and creating forums to inform policies, processes, and internal training. What will I be doing? - You will work with cross-functional teams to develop key civil society relationships in the region - You will research, identify, and collaborate with external experts (e.g. academia, civil sector players, Key Opinion Leaders, etc.) and leverage their knowledge to develop corresponding safety programs to improve the Trust & Safety approach to key issue areas - You'll collaborate with internal teams to support strategic plans for one or more issues (for one or more issues as highlighted in TikTok's Community Guidelines ) in an effort to enhance the safety of our users - You'll act as a representative and spokesperson on TikTok’s Trust & Safety policies, procedures, product features, and internal workflows on specific issues - You'll build and develop relationships with all OPM colleagues and key XFN partners for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing workstreams, and help to define new operational strategies for the implementation of external feedback - You'll travel frequently to manage stakeholders and projects

Qualifications

What should I bring with me? - 7+ years of experience in partnerships, outreach, research & advocacy, product marketing, policy programming, operations, or project management - Strong network of civil society organizations and deep knowledge in the region - Experience working independently and with global cross-function teams such as policy, legal, operations, and product - Proven ability to drive projects cross-functionally, lead by influence, run consensus-based stakeholder management, and build relationships with both internal and external partners - Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences - Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives and events - Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions - Entrepreneurial spirit, self-driven, and high EQ and identification with our company culture values - Fluency in English and Japanese is required in order to communicate with stakeholders Preferred qualifications - Existing knowledge of mainstream video-sharing products and experience informing policy and/or program design relating to some of the issues Trust & Safety works on - Experience working at high-growth tech startups and/or a global company - Experience in internal learning and development - Additional language capabilities TikTok is committed to the wellbeing of all our employees.
